Edi szasz ∙ Manager
Chef Edi Szasz has over 20 years of culinary experience, working in notable restaurants within the British Columbia Coast. Making his debut on Haida Gwaii in 2013 working as the Executive Chef for the Haida House at Tlaal. Since then, Edi has thrived on the islands with notable achievements such as running a successful food truck, cooking for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge upon their 2016 visit and much more.
Jorge Funaba ∙ Head Chef
Born on the south coast of Mexico and growing up in Texas, Jorge has made his mark in many international destinations. Jorge graduated from the largest culinary school in Western Canada where he was able to learn a number pf techniques for his mouthwatering creations. After spending the previous 16 months working in a 5-star hotel in Paris, France, Jorge is excited to explore Haida Gwaii and create west coast inspired dishes.
